Sharing Media Through Platforms That Currently Aren't On Nexweave
Nexweave recently updated its UI and got a new look! You will notice differences (especially in the colours) between the graphics and screenshots you see in this article and the corresponding sections within the Nexweave platform. Don’t worry though, because the steps and processes this article details remain the same. Moreover, we’re going to updating this article to reflect our platform changes very soon. Stay tuned and keep reading!

Nexweave has over 70 integrations with a range of email, marketing, sales and automation platforms. With these integrations you can easily share your created personalized media templates with your audience using our URL Override method.


To help you execute these, we have curated detailed documents that walk you through how you can integrate Nexweave with your favorite platforms.

While our list of integrations is something we’re regularly expanding, we do understand that your preferred platform may currently not be available to use directly with Nexweave.

First things first, if there is a platform you would like for us to integrate it, please add it to the ideas section within our roadmap. We regularly track the requests we receive through this portal and we can update you if your requested platform becomes available!


In the meantime however, As long as your desired platform allows an HTML editor within the email as well as the creation of custom personalization fields, you can also use: 

1. the bulk link method to share your media. The linked article details how you can achieve this. 

2. A trick workaround to the URL override campaign method that we will walk you through in this article

Please note: our primary recommendation, in case of any integration requests, would be to share it in our roadmap. This will help us cultivate a deeper understanding of what our customers' requirements are and enable us to create a more seamless experience for them. 


For our demonstration, we are sharing a personalised image in an email that hyperlinks to a video landing page. Here's an example of what your recipients would receive:



1. Start by configuring and launching a URL Override campaign in Nexweave. To learn how you can successfully run a URL campaign, please have a look at the linked article, or you can also refer to the video below:


2. The tutorials linked in the above steps assume that the video will be hosted on Nexweave’s default landing page. If you are looking to embed this video in a custom landing page, you can refer to this use case and this article

3. Before we proceed with generating the required codes, confirm the available merge tags/ personalization variables in your preferred platform and create any additional merge tags based on the variables used in your selected Nexweave templates 

4. In this demonstration, we have used Salesblink.io as our example platform. However the same method is applicable for any platform that you intend to use.

The selected templates in our Nexweave campaign use 2 variables: 

USERNAME

DOMAIN


Salesblink has some default macros/ personalization fields available such as

  • {{first_name}}

  • {{last_name}}

  • {{company_name}}

  • {{linkedin}}

Since the company website or domain isn't available on Salesblink by default, we created a custom field - {{company_website}}

Based on the platform you are using, please ensure that you have identified the available personalization options and created any custom fields that may be required. 

Please note: It is important to note the format in which the personalization fields are accepted in your preferred platform’s email template. For example, the field for the first name in the template is -  {{first_name}}

5. Back within the Nexweave campaign, click on Get Embed code.

6. In the embed code modal, select any integration platform from the dropdown.

Please note: In this step, we are not particular about the choice of integration platform. This is because our preferred platform (Salesblink in this example) is not in the list. In the next few steps we will walk you through generating compatible embed codes for platforms that are not within this list. 

7. Once you set the integration platform, the variables used in your selected Nexweave templates will be listed below along with a dropdown list of available variables from the selected integration platform. 


8. Map each of the listed Nexweave variables with the personalization fields from your choice of platform. 

9. Since the available fields in this list may not match the personalization fields of your platform, create custom fields from within the dropdown

In our example, we will be mapping the Nexweave variables, with the Salesblink variables ( collated in step 4) by creating custom variables. Here’s how:

  • Click on the dropdown corresponding to the Nexweave variable. 

  • In the custom variable input field type in the matching personalization field used in your choice of platform and click on Add

  • This field will get added to the variable list.

  • Select the newly created field from the list to complete the mapping.



In our demonstration, we have mapped:

USERNAME - {{first_name}}

DOMAIN - {{company_website}}

10. Once the mapping is complete, click on Generate Embed code to get the email embed code compatible with your choice platform (In our case, Salesblink)


Please note: since in this example, we are sharing a personalised image in an email that hyperlinks to a video landing page, we will focus on the generated image + video embed code. You may use either of the generated embed codes, based on your template selection

11. Create a campaign or an email template in your chosen external platform. In our example, we have created an email template in Salesblink

12. Add an HTML Block or open the HTML editor within your email builder

13. Copy the embed code generated in Nexweave and paste it into the HTML enabled email template


Please note : The image in the email preview will appear with the merge tag name/default values. However your audience will see their personal information once the email is released to them.

14. Once your email is designed, you can run email outreach campaigns through Salesblink, or campaigns and automations in the platforms you are using!

Your personalized emails will be on their way to impress your audience!
