WebEngage Integration
Generate a URL and embed code for your images and videos that are compatible with WebEngage and directly plug them into the email builder on the WebEngage platform!

For our demonstration, we are sharing a personalised image in an email that hyperlinks to a video landing page. Here's an example of what your recipients would receive:

1. Start by creating the media templates that you would like to share.  The linked article will walk you through creating engaging personalized templates with Nexweave.

2. Next, configure and launch a URL Override campaign in Nexweave. To learn how you can successfully run a URL campaign, please have a look at the linked article,

Please note: In our demonstration we have set the media type in the campaign to image + video. If you wish to share ONLY an image/GIF via your campaign, please set the campaign media type to Image

3. While configuring the campaign, ensure you select the templates that you intend to share.

4. Once your campaign is launched, click on Get Embed Code

5. In the embed code modal, set the Integration platform from the dropdown to WebEngage

6. The variables employed in your selected templates will be listed below along with a dropdown selector.

Map each of the listed Nexweave variables with the corresponding WebEngage variables by selecting them from the dropdown.

7. In case the variable list does not contain an appropriate match, you can also create your own platform variable from within the dropdown by typing in the variable in the “custom variable” input

8. In our demonstration, we have mapped:
  • USERNAME with {{user["system"]["first_name"]}}

9. Click on Generate Embed code to get the email embed code compatible with the WebEngage platform

10. Within the WebEngage platform, create an email campaign. The email campaigns can be found under the Email channel under Campaign Manager in the left navigational menu.

11. The email template can be designed and configured under the message step of the campaign process

12. In our demonstration, we have created our message template using the Drag and Drop editor. Within the drag and drop editor, we have selected a basic template.

13. Within the email editor, to add Nexweave personalized media to this email template, first add an HTML block to your email body.

14. Copy the image + video generated code from the Nexweave campaign and paste it into the html block within WebEngage

Please note : The image in the email preview may appear with the user attributes/default values. However your audience will see their personal information once the email is released to them.

15. Once your email template is designed, you can test and launch your campaign!
