Configuring landing page campaigns

The process for creating campaigns to share personalized landing pages works the same way as creating campaigns for image and video templates

After selecting your templates, as an added step, you can select the landing page template you want to add your selected media to!

Let’s take a look at how to configure these campaigns

1. Navigate to the campaigns section, and click on Create a new campaign

2. Set a name for your campaign and then set the media type to be used in your campaign.

You can select the following media types based on your objective:

a. Image + Video: Set the media type to Image + Video if you wish to :
- Insert only a personalized image into your landing page template
- Insert a personalized image and a personalized video into your landing page template
- Insert only a personalized video into your landing page template, AND you want to hyperlink this landing page to a personalized image that you wish to share via email

b. Video : Set the media type to video if you wish to:
- Insert only a personalized video into your landing page template

Please note : You will only be permitted to select a Nexweave landing page template if your media type includes video, i.e. it is either video or image + video.

3. Let’s assume you set the campaign type to Image + Video. You will then be prompted to select the following templates:

  • Image Template: This image template list displays the templates from your private template library. Select the one you wish to include in your landing page or wish to share via another channel.

  • Video template: This video template list displays the templates from your private template library. Select the one you wish to include.

  • Video thumbnail: This template list is the same as your image templates. Select the personalized image that you wish to use as the thumbnail for your video. This will appear as an overlay on the video while it loads and till your recipient hits ‘play’.

4. Next, from the landing page templates dropdown, select the landing page template that you created previously

5. Next, you can choose between the default domain, or whitelabel domain for your image URL and landing page URL.  This setting will only be visible to certain plans and if you have setup custom domain for your images and videos

6. Click on Save and Proceed to continue.

7. Under the Activate tab, you can select either of the 2 campaign methods to launch. The activation method works exactly the same way as it does for Image and video template campaigns. You can learn more about these 2 methods in the linked article

How does the landing page look for a template?

Let’s take a look at the following scenarios that can be executed by setting your media type to Image + video

1. Insert only a personalized image into your landing page template

This scenario will come into play if :

  • the landing page template you created contains a personalized image component, i.e. an image component with the URL set to [IMAGE_URL]

  • The landing page template DOES NOT contain a video component

The template selected under Select media for email in the campaign will replace the [IMAGE_URL] to insert the personalized image template in the landing page

2. Insert a personalized image and a personalized video into your landing page template

This scenario will come into play if :

  • the landing page template you created contains a personalized image component, i.e. an image component with the URL set to [IMAGE_URL]

  • AND The landing page template also contains a video component

The template selected under Select media for email in the campaign will replace the [IMAGE_URL] to insert the personalized image template in the landing page.
The template selected under Select media for landing page will replace the video placeholder AND the template selected under video thumbnail  will become the personalized thumbnail for the video in the landing page.

3. Insert only a personalized video into your landing page template, AND you want to hyperlink this landing page to a personalized image that you wish to share via email

This scenario will come into play if :

  • The landing page template you created DOES contain a personalized video component

  • AND IT DOES NOT contain a personalized image component

The template selected under Select media for landing page will replace the video placeholder AND the template selected under video thumbnail  will become the personalized thumbnail for the video in the landing page.
